Santo Domingo and Santiago: sending credit that arrives today
The two names that show up most when people say “send to the DR.”

By Gabenley Bien Aime · ChatRefill
When someone says “send to the DR,” they often mean Santo Domingo or Santiago. Those two names carry a lot of the country’s diaspora traffic, the way Port-au-Prince and Miami carry a lot of Haiti’s.
ChatRefill still does not top up a city. It tops up a Claro or Altice number that happens to live there.
Santo Domingo
Lots of lines, lots of shared phones, lots of people who split time with New York. Confirm who has the phone. Confirm the operator. On ChatRefill, pick Dominican Republic and finish the send before you start a Haiti one in another tab.
Santiago
Same rules, different baseball opinions. If they say coverage is uneven, believe them about the afternoon, not about the product. Credit cannot argue with a mountain. It can be there when the signal is.
The rest of the country
Puerto Plata, La Vega, a smaller town you would have to search. Still DR in the dropdown. Still operator-first. Popular destinations are popular because of volume, not because other places do not deserve a top-up.
Write the city next to the number so you remember the person. Write the network so the send is true. Then go do something else with your Sunday.
